Retro Diary – 02/07/16

Saturday, July 2nd, 2016

It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these, eh? (2 years, in fact!) Well, I’ve decided to bring this series back, but this time, I’m going to do them whenever I like, and on days where anything of interest happened in terms of retro gaming in my life, such as today!

I was at MEGABytes today, which is a retro gaming cafe that opened up in Glasgow a year or so back, and if you love retro games, you’ll love this place!

Anyway, I was there today with a couple of friends, and we were chatting for a bit, while one of the people in our group was playing Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed (I know, not a retro game, but the cafe let them play it on their 360, so…), and I was arguing with a friend (not in a fighting way, though, don’t worry) because we had contrasting opinions on the game, my friend thought it was a great game and the best in the series, but I disagreed, it was a massive disappointment in my opinion, and that the first game was much better!

We then talked about other Sonic game and how since Heroes, with the exception of (part of) Unleashed, Colors and Generations, every Sonic game has been garbage… Read the rest of this entry »

Rant – Xbox live and PS Plus – Mandatory pay-to-play multiplayer

Monday, December 28th, 2015

I’m going to start this off with an experience I’ve recently had with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 for the PS4, which I got for Christmas. I found out that the game has this awesome feature where you can play career mode and you see other players playing through career mode as well, and some goals/missions you can even player co-op! It was pretty awesome, and a lot of fun. I got a PS plus trial just to do this basic, and not needed feature. Now that trial has run out, and now I have to fork out £4 a month or pay £15-£40 upfront to do this…

Seriously, Sony, what the f*ck? What happened to free online play? That was a massive advantage the PS3 had over the Xbox 360! The PS Vita even has free online-play, so why doesn’t the PS4?!

Apparently the reason is because they needed to compensate for their new flashy features they added such as watching other people play games or even streaming a game onto your console if someone else is playing and you want to, and also things like online cloud storage… okay, but what about people who only want to play online and don’t care about those features? They would be paying for sh*t they aren’t going to use!

I could understand back in the late 90s and very early 2000s where the Dreamcast and Xbox did this, because it was a new thing, and I’m guessing doing things like that was expensive, because you needed servers dedicated to the console, I guess, but by the time online play became more mainstream, it seemed like an obsolete idea. The PS2, Gamecube (whatever games it had online), PS3, Wii and Wii U all had free online, and the guys behind them were doing just fine financially, so why would it be needed now?!

Again, all I would want to do is use this cool feature on THPS5, but I have to pay for game streaming, live let’s play features and cloud storage just to do this?! I’m never going to use any of those features!

I remember when this thing was first announced, my friend, who previously had a 360, reacted to it like it was no big deal. I’m guessing because he was used to it…

That’s probably why Sony did this, they new thanks to the controversy with the Xbox One at the time, many 360 owners were moving to Sony, so they saw money in this, and decided to treat them as sh*t as Microsoft did for money!

Smart? Maybe, but that doesn’t make it good, though!

Let’s imagine a scenario where you can to pay some guy “protection” money, otherwise, he gets to batter you with a baseball bat. This goes on for years, and maybe the original guy stops this for one reason or another (e.g. he dies or got arrested), and then another guy jumps in and does the same thing. You’d be used to that treatment by then, does that make this behaviour okay? No, of f*cking course it doesn’t!

“But PS Plus is a good deal!” Not when you HAVE to pay for it for something unrelated to why it’s a good deal!

I’ll create another scenario for this argument, but I’ll tell this story differently, try to imagine you enter a shop because you are away from home and need the toilet. (You probably already see where this is going…)

“Hey,” you say to the cashier, “Can I use your toilet? I’m bursting!”
“Would you like to buy this deal we have going on where if you purchase this bottle of Mountain Dew, you get a free bag of Doritos!”
“No thanks, I just need to go to the toilet.”
“Well, you need to get this deal, otherwise, you can’t use the toilet.”
“What the f**k?! No! F**k off!”
“Well, I’m afraid you can’t use our toilets, so you can either leave the store or I’m calling the police!”

…Okay, both of those analogies are a little extreme, as online play in of itself isn’t a mandatory human right (Unless the internet access thing that was added to the list of human rights count!), and the consequences aren’t that extreme, but I got my point across, right?

Bottom line, paying for online is not needed! You’re a greedy piece of sh*t if you charge for it! F*ck you Sony, and f*ck you Microsoft! I’m not giving youse a penny for online play! *sigh*, I wish they still made the Call of Duty games or THPS5 for Wii U…

I got a PS4!

Friday, October 3rd, 2014

That’s right, I got a PS4 today!

I was planning on getting one of these for a while, more a less ever since I’ve heard that WWE 2k15 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, but not the PC.

Yesterday, my mum asked me if I wanted to go to GAME and get my PS4, since there was a deal on PS4s right now where you get a PS4, plus a handful of games for £400, even though most of those games are also available on PC, the only exception being Last of Us, which was sadly a Download code. Despite all of that, I thought it was a decent deal, so I went for it, and I also got Killzone: Shadow Fall for £10 with it.

Playstation 4 Console

Beauty, isn’t it?

It’s hard to tell what I feel about the PS4, I’m very exited to play WWE 2k15 on it, but there’s not much to play on it so far, I only want to play Killzone: Shadow Fall until I complete all of the previous games, regardless of any resemblance to previous games, and the Last of Us has yet to fully download it’s 9GB of content!

It’s frustrating, it’s a new, high-tech, top of the range machine (to an extent), it has some awesome features on the PS Vita, such as being a second screen, and being able to access your PS4 from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection, and the plug the PS4 is connected to is on.

PS4 - PSVita Second Screen

Here’s a screenshot of the second screen feature, just because I can provide one…

It also has an awesome controller,it feels so comfortable in my hands, and the touch pad is less intrusive than I thought it would be. (Although the light on the back is getting a little annoying.)

Playstation 4 Controllers

I got 2, by the way, for 2 player games, that was before I realised you can use a PSVita as a controller…

Despite all of these awesome things, there’s just nothing to do with it right now, the technology is awesome, and I really want to dig into it, but I can’t, and that, like I said, frustrates me…

FIFA 15, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warefare [PS4]

Here are all of the games I have for it right now, not exactly spoiled for choice, am I?

In other news, on the exact same day, at the exact same time, I picked up an original DS!

Nintendo DS (Original) + Charger & Carry Case

Ah, the memories…

Why would you get one of those? You may be asking. Well, for one reason, and one reason only: The GBA Slot.
You see, I have this game called Tony Hawk Motion for the DS, and has motion controls, but the motion pack uses the GBS slot, which means I can’t play it on my 3DS, so I got this to play it on.
Isn’t Tony Hawk Motion awful, though? Well, that’s what I heard, but it wouldn’t be the first time my opinion of something differs greatly to everyone else’s. Surprisingly, it’s not that bad, I was pleasantly surprised, the controls actually function, and I rarely get any hiccups with recognising movement, it seems solid to me. The game itself is okay as well, it seems more refined than previous DS Tony Hawk games I’ve played.
Would I recommend it? Probably not. For curiosity’s sake, it’s alright, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.

Well, since we’re here, I might as well tell youse about other games I got recently.

I was at CEX today, as always, and was actually thinking about getting Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes on the PS4, now that I have one, that was until I’ve heard that a PC version is coming soon, so I decided to wait and see if that gets a retail release, if not, then I’ll get it on PS4.

I did pick up some other games though, like NBA Street 3 for the Xbox, and a cheap sniper FPS on the PC, all for a wallet busting 75p!
2014-10-03-145538

I also got a couple of PSVita games.
2014-10-03-145621

I stopped by GForce and got Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX after seeing it for so long, I already have it, but as part of a collection, and I thought having a stand-alone version would look much nicer, and also it was only £2.

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX [PC]

I think it would look nicer anyway, what do youse think?

When I arrived home, I found 2 games I ordered off of eBay arrived.
2014-10-03-145512
Yep, even though the Legends of Wrestling games supposedly suck, I already had the 3rd games, and seeing these 2 online for £3, I couldn’t resist…

Well that’s about all I got as of recent, until next time, bye!

Cobra!’s Retrospectives – Soldier of Fortune

Friday, July 11th, 2014

I have finally finished a game series, and thus stars a new series I am doing! Retrospectives!

Well okay, this series was only 3 games long, but it’s still an achievement, at least it is for me.

So as you could probably guess, I have been delving into the Soldier of Fortune games, and now that’s I have completed all 3, I’ll give youse my thoughts on them here, starting with, of course, Call of duty! …Er, I mean Soldier of Fortune, the first game…

Retro Pick-Ups – Not PSP this time!

Friday, March 14th, 2014

Retrom Pick-Ups - Not PSP this time!

I’ve got a few deals in the past week that I’ve been forgetting to post here, so here’s a round-up of what I got this week.

Clockwise starting from bottom left, I got Tony Hawk’s Project 8 for the Xbox, because why not? I was wanting to see what the Xbox version of the game is like, as it’s the only version I haven’t played, and to sum things up, it’s basically the PS2 version (as expected) but running at 60fps, making it, in my opinion at least, far superior to the PS2 version. The only gripe I have, is that you have to press white to do flips, so it’s hard to do a trick while doing flips, but other than that, I love it!

I got Virtua Striker 3 for the Gamecube, I got Virtua Striker 2 on the Dreamcast in February, and I loved it, the only gripes I had were that there was no analog support, and the game was really hard, luckily, Virtua Striker 3 fixed both of those problems! The only thing is, it created a few of it’s own…
First thing is, there’s no longer an Arcade Mode, which blows, though they’ve kept ranking mode. They’ve also added offside, no big deal, right? I mean it’s not football without the offside rule! Only that, it goes off at random, I could press the long pass button at our goal, not even aiming for the player at the other side, and the game calls offside! You can turn this off, but only in single matches…
The last gripe I have is that they’ve added a more complexity to the game, it’s still very simple, but they’ve added the ability to substitute players and they’ve added a manager mode, which is exactly as it sounds, I’m glad they didn’t go any further than that, otherwise, in my eyes, it’d just be a failed contender to FIFA or PES, which it really shouldn’t be.

I got Mortal Kombat 3 (as not seen by the picture, thanks to the flash!) for the Mega Drive, it was only £4, so I decided to get it, and it’s a great port, unlike the original game, it’s got most of the sound effects and music in the game, and the game feels a lot more solid and fluent, the only problem is that you still can’t pause, even with a 6-button controller!

I got Jet Ion GP for the PS2. I’ve started hearing about this game not too long ago, it appeared in my suggestions on Amazon when I was browsing there one time, saw gameplay footage, and heard that it wasn’t great. I love the idea behind it, and it has a nice style to it, I decided to get it if I find it cheap somewhere, and lo and behold, CEX had it, for 25p!
Yeah, the reviews were right when they said it wasn’t great, the game runs awful, despite seeing gameplay footage of the game running smoothly, so it must be a PAL thing.
It barely reaches 30 frames when you’re in time trial or qualifier mode, and still manages to slow down, and you can have up to 8 ships in an actual race! “Well maybe the 30 frames is just a cap.” You might be wondering. Well do you know about Checkered Flag for the Atari Jaguar? Well, think about how bad that game ran. That’s how Jet Ion GP runs in a race, I’m not kidding!

I got Project Gotham Racing for the Xbox, it’s a racing game by Bizzare Creations, the game guys who previously made Metropolis Street Racer for the Dreamcast, which was a great game, and the PGR has very similar gameplay and graphics, but runs at 60fps, rather than 30. I haven’t got much else to say, as I haven’t delved that much into it yet, but it looks promising from what I’ve seen so far

I got Wall-E for the Wii, and I kind of regret it, because I’ve decided that later down the line, I might get myself a PS3, due to all of the awesome looking exclusives it has, which is ironic if you think about it, because it was the PS3, and all of it’s multi-media features, that drove me to retro gaming in the first place, but since then, the PS3 has gotten slimmer versions that are apparently more dedicated to gaming, despite no backwards compatibility, and the PS3 has gotten some really good exclusives, such as Yakuza 3 and 4, Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls, Little Big Planet, Pain, the Ratchet and Clank games and more. What has this got to do with Wall-E? Well, the Wii version has no support for the classic controller, meaning you have to use the Wii mote… I should have wait until I got a PS3, and got the PS3 version of the game, as it’s the same, only you can use an actual controller.

Lastly, I got Devil May Cry, for £1.50! I’ve been hearing so much about this game, so I decided to get it and give it a try… I just need to get around to doing so…

So that’s what I got this week, some great games some not so great, so yeah…

-Cobra!

Retro Pick-Ups – 25/02/13

Tuesday, February 25th, 2014

Right, after this post, I have an announcement thing coming up, so stay tuned, assuming you tuned in in the first place!

Yet again, I was at CEX yesterday, and I found some games I’ve been looking out for, at decent prices, which made me happy, let’s get right to it…

Retro Pick-Ups: Psychonauts [PC] and Quantum Redshift [Xbox]

Wednesday, January 8th, 2014

So the January Sales have been going on, and stores like Amazon and Game have some awesome deals going on lately… too bad everything gets sold out and out of stock, I can’t get anything!

I’ve been seeing so many good deals going on, I saw Tekken 3D for the 3DS was the game website, brand new, for £1.99! However, when I go to any Game store, and ask if they have the game, they never do! It’s the same for all of the special editions of Assassins Creed 4 on the Wii U! Yeah, a 3rd party game is actually selling on the Wii U…

Retro Diary – 9/9/2012 – Happy Birthday (NA) Dreamcast!

Sunday, September 9th, 2012

Monday 3rd September 2012

I’ve ordered a Wonderswan game off eBay late last night, after realising I had some money, it’s called Digimon Tamers Battle Spirit v1.5, and it’s for the Wonderswan Color. Just thought I’d tell you.

My first day back in college, and I bumped into one of my old high school friends on the train, he says he goes to the college I go to now, which is awesome. We were talking about a few things, mostly games, and My Little Pony, because he recently became a brownie, not that I have a problem with that, he can like whatever he wants.
He mentioned to me how it’s weird that sometimes our opinion changes drastically about a certain thing, one time you might hate something, but later on, you might love it, and he was right, that’s the case with me and games like Mirrors Edge and Grand Theft Auto IV, I hated them when they came out, but once I actually played them, I fell in love!

I came across another friend of mine, it’s been years since we saw each-other, first thing he said to me was that he got a Dreamcast, good on him! I see he’s still as into games as I am, that’s good to know. We were talking about Dreamcast games for a good while, then we talked about the Max Payne games, funnily enough, the original game was planned for the Dreamcast, but that was cancelled.

I finally have a Wonderswan!
It has arrived today, and wow! it’s tiny, it’s smaller than I expected even after seeing one of it’s games! Here’s a size comparison between it, and a Game Boy Color:

Also, a size comparison between the console, and a box for one of it’s games:

Of course, being that it came from Japan, the text/writing on the parcel was in Japanese, however, it was just a sheet of paper stuck on the cardboard, so I took it off, and there was another one, took that off, and there was another one, took that off, and they were all off, but then the last sheet of paper turned out to be two stuck together! Did they really need 4 sheets!? Since I have a thing for , I guess you could say, Exotic parcels/packages, I decided to hang them on my wall!

I’ve had a go on Klonoa: Moonlight Museum on it, everyone seems to think this game is mediocre and only for collectors, I partially agree with the latter, as it rarely pops up on eBay, and when it does, it goes for over £30, which is ridiculous for any Handheld game. However, once you get past the first world, which is dull and boring-ish, I’ll admit, it really gets interesting in my opinion, you get new monsters and block that you’ll recognise from the other Klonoa games, and makes the game a little more interesting and fun!

Tuesday 4th September 2012

Anyway, last week at that shop, I saw a copy of RC Revenge, boxed with manual for only £2 because the case was cracked, but I didn’t get it because I ordered it from Amazon. That copy didn’t arrive, and I got a refund for it, so I decided to visit the shop again if I get the chance, and get it if it’s still there, it was!
I also found 007 The World is Not Enough for the PS1 there, it looks completely different from the N64 version, so I wanted to get it, because I love the 007 games, and wanted to get something new, well, new to me. It was £5, so I thought why not, at that price, it must be in pristine condition, the disc, I mean, they take out the discs when displaying them to avoid theft.

I also saw Viruta Tennis 2, I got the first game from there last week, loved it, so I thought why not get this one, it was also £5, the same as it is on Amazon, not too bad.

After that, I went to CEX, I found Resident Evil 4 for both Gamecube and PC, the PC version being £3 and the Gamecube version was £12, I also saw Theme Hospital for about £2.50, I was going to get them, but the line that particular day was massive, and I was killing enough time as it was, so I thought “Forget it!”, I would probably get them all cheaper on Amazon anyway, if not, I’ll get them the next time I’m there, which I guess will be Thursday, when I go back to college, I’m off tomorrow!!!

When I got back home, I got 2 parcel today! I got Max Payne for PC and 007 Agent Under Fire for the Xbox!

I played a few matches of Goldeneye Source with my cousin, Steven, it was almost as fun as the original! There was funny moment we had, in a match where the weapons were set to explosives, I threw a bunch of remote mines in a certain spot, and Steven fell right into the trap, I detonated them just as he was running over them, I found that hilarious, truest me, it’s funnier than I’m making it sound…

Friday 7th September 2012

Max Payne 2 Arrived Today, I haven’t installed or even opened it yet, I’m waiting until I complete the first game.

Saturday 8th September 2012

Sleeping Dogs, Inversion and 007 Everything or Nothing Arrived today!

Sleeping Dogs is fantastic, I’m very addicted to it!

Inversion, however, isn’t quite up to that level, it seems it’s another shoddy PC port, you have no option to turn off Motion Blur or Depth of Field, why don’t games give you the option any more!? No one likes these effects, sure, some don’t mind, but there’s a difference between that and actually liking them. All they do, is blur out the game and slow it down, they’re not good for anything! I know no one’s going to listen to me but, developers, get some common sense, and don’t use these effects! This is one of only 3 PC games Namco have ever released, and they all have this problem! I love Namco, but they’re not cut out for PC games!

I expected Everything or Nothing to be just like Nightfire on consoles, only improved further, but nope, they’ve ditched that engine, and gone third person, why? It never works, only Blood Stone years later got it right. It plays just like 007 From Russia With Love, which was okay in multiplayer, but was kind of rubbish in single-player, trust EA to screw franchises up, eh? Luckily Activision got their hands on the 007 licence and got things right again!

As you probably imagined, I was playing Sleeping Dogs all day.

Sunday 9th September 2012

It’s the 9th of the 9th, the Dreamcast’s birthday! Well, the North American Dreamcast anyhow… but it was the perfect excuse to bring along and play the Dreamcast!

Well, that was the plan, but my brother brought his PS3 as well, and we, or rather they, were mostly playing that.

When Steven came, he gave me back my copy of 007 Blood Stone for the PC… just thought I’d mention that.

Me and Giancarlo were playing Virtua Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2, and a game of Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, that’s it.

Then for the rest of the time there, they were just playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band on the PS3.

That sums up today in a nut shell, next week, I’m not sure what we’ll do.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be playing some Sleeping Dogs…

Retro Pick-ups: Virtua Tennis 2 [DC], RC Revenge [PS1] and 007 The World Is Not Enough [PS1]

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

On the way home from College, I popped into both G-Force and CEX.

When I was at G-Force, I saw a couple of Japanese tourists, or at least I think they’re Japanese, I can tell they weren’t Chinese, I doubt they’d be in game stores, so they were either Korean or Japanese, either way, it’s the first time I’ve seen Asian tourists here in Scotland. I could tell they were tourists, because they were speaking a foreign language to each other.
Apparently, we get Japanese tourists in Scotland all the time, but it’s first time I’ve seen any, why would they come here anyway, I could understand going to the Highlands, I imagine it’s nice there, I want to go there myself, but why Glasgow?

All the discs look in fine condition, I’ve already tried Virtua Tennis 2, and it works just fine. I’ve yet to try the others, though.

After that, I went to CEX, I found Resident Evil 4 for both Gamecube and PC, the PC version being £3 and the Gamecube version was £12, I also saw Theme Hospital for about £2.50, I was going to get them, but the line that particular day was massive, and I was killing enough time as it was, so I thought forget it, I would probably get them all cheaper on Amazon anyway, if not, I’ll get them the next time I’m there, which I guess will be Thursday, when I go back to college, I’m off tomorrow!!!

When I got back home, I got 2 parcel today! I got Max Payne for PC and 007 Agent Under Fire for the Xbox!

Right, I’ll be off, I have so many games to play, but so little time…

Retro Diary – 12/8/12 – My birthday week

Sunday, August 12th, 2012

Monday 6th August 2012

I saw the Dark Knight Rises today, and it was brilliant, it’s my favourite film this year, and seeing how brilliant all the other films I’ve seen that came out this year, it’s saying a lot!

I’ve downloaded the Batman Arkham Asylum Demo today, but at first, it didn’t work, but I manually installed a patch for it, and it worked just fine, and I loved the demo, I am without a doubt getting the full game as soon as I can, preferably the Game of The Year Edition!

Tuesday 7th August 2012

I’ve finished Stranglehold today, and what an epic game it was! As I keep telling you…

Wednesday 8th August 2012

I went to a Basketball summer training camp with my friend, Jamie, or “Midfield Maestro”, as he likes to call himself. I’m mentioning this because he’s staying with me for 2 nights after that, when we got home, the first thing we did was play FIFA 12 on the PC, the second thing we did… was play more FIFA 12! Then we played PES 2012 on PC. Then FIFA. Then Fronte Del Basket 2, Then FIFA 12, then NBA 2k12, which he somehow beat me at, his big ego never shuts up about it, then FIFA 12, then we watched some videos, and finally, some FIFA 12! Finally, we watched some Fawlty Towers.

Thursday 9th August 2012

Both me and Jamie watched some Spongebob Squarepants, just thought I’d tell you that.

We played FIFA 12 all morning, then one of my old friends came up, it’s been years since I’ve seen him, and he hasn’t changed one bit! For this purposes of the blog, and since I don’t have permission to use his real name, I’m going to call him “Rydo”.

The three of us played FIFA 12 and PES 2012 on PC for most of the day, then my cousins came along, and we played a bunch of games, I forgot the order we played them and we played some of them at the same time, a couple played one, while the rest played another, here’s what we played:

  • Metropolis Street Racer [DC]
  • Mashed: Fully Loaded [Xbox]
  • The Sims 3 [PC]
  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 [GC]
  • FIFA 12 [PS2 & PC]
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 [PS2 & PC]
  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater [N-Gage]

I got a lot of Birthday money today! As well as that, my cousin, Giancarlo, gave me a couple of games he got from CEX, I got The Broken Sword Trilogy on PC and From Russia with Love for PS2.

My mum got my birthday cake, she showed it to me, at first, I expected, since I was 18, it would be about some rubbish about beer/alcohol, even though I’ll never drink, I hate the idea. However, it turned out it was a cake modelled into a PS1! Brilliant!

Friday 10th August 2012

It’s my birthday!!!!!!

My mum said she would give me my “Main” present early, it was a 160GB Ipod Classic! I always wanted one of them! What has it got to do with this blog? Who cares!

I got an Atari Flashback 3, what that is, click here.

I got a whole bunch of games and Sims 3 expansion packs, which are:

  • TimeShift [PC]
  • Grand Theft Auto IV [PC/Games for Windows]
  • Dead Rising 2 [PC/Games for Windows]
  • Strong Bad’s Cool game for Attractive People [PC]
  • Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures [PC]
  • Sims 3 World Adventures [PC]
  • Sims 3 Late Night [PC]
  • Sims 3 Generations [PC]

I’ve been playing them pretty much all day.

Sunday 12th August 2012

Instead of going to grans this week, since she was at England, along with my cousin, Giancarlo and his family, to watch the closing Olympic ceremony, my cousins came to our house for a barbecue, a perfect opportunity to play some games with Steven, and anyone else who might want to play games.

We played some Atari 2600/Flashback 3 games first, Starting with Combat, then Sprint Master, and finally Maze Craze.

Then we played WWE All Stars for the PS2, we played a few games.

Then we played a 10 minute game of Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64, then unfortunately Steven had to go, he wasn’t there for long…

Before he left, I gave him a lend of both Stanglehold and Blood Stone 007, since they were DRM-Free (Well, DRM in the anti-used game sense.) and I completed them, he said he had always wanted to play Blood Stone, but was waiting for a Steam sale (All digital gamers are the same!), so I gave him a retail copy to borrow!

Next week we’ll be back at grans, instead of doing PS2 week, I’m brining a mystery console, I haven’t decided on what it is yet, so as of now, even I don’t know what it is!
