Retro Arrivals: Sony Pocketstation

I got a Pocketstation… so yeah.

“What’s a Pocketstation?” I hear you ask. Well, long story short, it’s Sony’s take on the Dreamcast’s VMU for the PS1.

I saw this Pocketstation on eBay a while back, and I thought I’d try and bid a bit on it, so I put in £5, and decided if I got it, awesome! If I got outbid, oh well.

Surprisingly, nobody else bidded for it, and so it didn’t even reach £5! Although the delivery takes the total back up to £5, but still, I got a Pocketstation for a fiver! They usually go for £20-£30, so I got a good deal there!

The only thing is that it has stickers on the bottom and the back, but that doesn’t matter, as long as I have one and it works, I’m happy!

Also, few games in Europe have games that are downloadable to and work on the Pocketstation. The Pocketstation was sold here for a bit, or so I hear, so at least some games here work with it, sadly, I have none, but have been wanting some of the games that work, such as Ridge Racer Type 4 and Yu-Gi-Oh: Forbidden Memories, so the Pocketstation support is even more incentive to get them!
